705 Universal Fast Adhesive An adhesive set which consists of high viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive and activator. Properties High bonding strength. Suitable for use on vertical surfaces as it will not drip or slump. It is particularly suited to bonding difficult substrates which have a porous or uneven nature since it increases bonding strength by preventing the adhesive to be absorbed by the surface. Application Areas It is suitable for the bonding of a very wide range of materials, including acidic surfaces and some porous ones, where rapid bonding times are required. Suitable for MDF, wood, chip wood, rubber, most plastics, leather and other common substrates. Especially suitable for the applications where cure speed needs to be accelerated. Although Akfix 705 has a degree of gap filling ability, it is generally recommended for use on close-fitting parts and fairly smooth, even surfaces.

Only process at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C The surface must be clean, dust free and dry for maximum adhesion. Gluing and mounting: Apply the glue in strips or dots (every 10-40 cm) and always at the corners and along the edges of the material. Apply the material to the right place within 10 minutes and press firmly or tap lightly with a rubber hammer. If necessary, clamp or fasten heavy materials for 4 hours. Hand-tightened after 2 hours, the joint is now strong enough for transport or a light load. Maximum final strength after approx. 4 hours, depending on substrate (at least 1 porous material) and ambient conditions. Sealing: Apply the sealant evenly to the bottom of the joint and smooth within 10 minutes with a damp putty knife (soapy water without lemon), a sealant spreader or your finger. Smooth vertical joints from bottom to top. Hardening is complete after a few days (depending on the thickness of the layer). When repainting with alkyd paints, the paint may dry more slowly. Use white spirit to remove wet glue residue.
