Pete Moss 10L Seed Propagation Soil Peat moss is formed when living materials and algae decompose in peat bogs. Unlike the compost that gardeners make in their backyard, most moss decomposes without air, which slows the rate of decomposition. It contains no harmful microorganisms or weed seeds unlike poorly processed compost. It is ideal for growing acid-loving fruits and vegetables such as strawberries, raspberries and tomatoes and revitalizing garden lawns. It is cost effective because it does not break down easily, and it lasts for several years. Peat moss has a high absorption capacity, so it is ideal for many garden uses, such as creating fertile soil and accelerating plant growth.
